Yankees acquire Andrew Mccutchen

Well it took the Yankees long enough but they finally got an outfielder. Yesterday night the Yankees acquired Andrew Mccutchen from the San Francisco Giants for a couple of Yankees prospects. The main prospect in the deal was SS Abital Avelino. The Yankees are also sending RHP Juan de Paula

This was a deal the Yankees had to make due to the fact that they don’t know when Judge will be back. Shane Robinson has been as expected for the Yankees, not good. He has only 7 hits with his playing time and he plays almost every day. Andrew Mccutchen is a significant improvement over Shane Robinson.

The Yankees only need Mccutchen to keep playing like he’s playing, they really don’t need him to go back to this 2013 form even though it would be nice.

All in all I like the trade. Mccutchen provides a good veteran bat for the wounded Yankees.
