2018 ALDS: Cleveland Indians V. Houston Astros

We are back for day 2 of the Division Series after the NL took over for the day, now we get to see not 1, not 2, not 3, 4 different playoff games. So lets jump right into the game.

#3 Cleveland Indians V. #2 Houston Astros

Here we are in what I think is one of my most interested series and that’s because both teams can do everything. First we have the Indians, who are the first team ever to have 4 starting pitchers to throw over 200 strikeouts. Insane stat and Indians will need their pitchers to continue this because the Astros know how to get hits and get on base.

But the Indians shouldn’t be overlooked because they too got really good hitting. The Indians had the 2nd best batting average in the MLB, 3rd most RBI’s in the MLB, and the 4th most home runs in the AL. So if you think this is going to be a walk in the park because they are in the worst division in baseball, you are wrong.

In my opinion tho, the Astros are the better team. It is close but the Astros pitching is better. The Astros lead the MLB in ERA, opponents batting average, and strikeouts. So when it gets to a point where it is a tie or close game, expect the Astros to come out of the game with the win because of their pitching.

So with that said, I think the Astros are winning the series 3-2. Both team are really good, but the Astros have the slight edge here that gives them the advantage in this series.
