The Knicks Need to Stop Being a Bunch of Idiots and Do the Right Thing

Last night the Knicks continued their losing streak yesterday where it reached 6 straight losses, their second-longest losing streak of the season. Now why should I complain about the Knicks, they’ve been terrible for years. They are a walking embarrassment, but for some reason, the Knicks just keep out-dumbing themselves. Night in and night out the Knicks continue to play the veteran players over their young players and I don’t know who is in charge of this. At first, I thought Steve Mills was telling Mike Miller to do this, but with him gone I don’t know who the buffon is that keeps starting Taj, Portis, Payton, Bullock, and Harkless. The fact that Portis got the start over Robinson last night because of Taj Gibson’s injury blew my mind. I just could not believe it. And it took 6 minutes to see how dumb of an idea that was.

Now let’s continue with more dumb decisions. Allonzo Trier has been red hot the last 3 games, scoring 9, 15, and 6 points in those games in very little minutes. Now someone might say, Trier shouldn’t play because he’s a defensive liability, which is true. He does hurt us defensively, but they have Wayne Ellington playing in his place who is not much better. Per 100 possession

Ellington:
ORtg: 104
DRtg: 115
OBPM: -2.2
DBPM: -1.0
eFG%: 49.9%

Trier:
ORtg: 113
DRtg: 117
OBPM: 0.6
DBPM: -1.3
eFG%: 56.9%

These are just the countless stats that show just how ineffective Wayne Ellington is, but yet somehow Ellington has almost more than 200 minutes played than Trier.

Now to finish it off, the biggest problem in my eyes for the team is Kevin Knox. Knox has been so inefficient and lifeless on the court, we have to send him down to the G-League. It’s the only thing we can really do at this point because he looks so bad on the court whenever he plays. Send Ignas Brazdeikis up and bring Knox down. Brazdeikis has been so good down in the G-League, averaging 21.7 PPG 7.5 RPG 3.2 APG 50% FG and .344% 3ptFG, just give him a shot up here and give him real minutes. Not to mention this tweet.

When everyone becomes healthy, I want to see our young guys starting. I hope soon we see Smith, Ntilikina, Barrett, Randle, and Robinson all in the starting lineup. We need to develop our player and what we are doing now is not helping.
