“Whoa who’s that big sexy hunk in the picture for this blog?” Well thats Party Dan, and when he has his Hawaiian shirt on, he means business. And that is what this blog (series) is going to be. You won’t get any better picks when it comes to gambling then from me. My first venture was not so successful, but I am back and last night I was excellent. Went 2-0 in my return with the Lakers -5.5, which the Lakers almost blew, and Texans/Chiefs 52.5. It was a crazy return for me, but I am so back. So now it’s time to give my picks, but what I will do in the beginning of every blog is show my record and my how many units I am up/down. Also, SDSGS stands for SmallDog’s Super Gambling Station, but for some reason my website provider is not allowing me to use gambling.
Record: 2-0
Units: +1.8u
Pick 1: Yankees/Orioles Over 6.5 (-101) (Game #1) (1u)
Going to start off the day with some late afternoon baseball. Now you might ask me why I want an over in a 7 inning game? Well my answer is because the Yankees and Orioles like to score on each other. In the 6 games the Yankees and Orioles have played, five of those have had games where the run total was over 6, and in the only 7 inning game the two played this season the combined run total was 9. I am confident that this trend will continue today, especially with Gerrit Cole and Alex Cobb, who both have a ERA greater that 3.60.
Pick #2: Indians -109 v. Twins (1u)
I mean Shane Bieber, the best pitcher in the AL is pitching today, how could you go against him. He has been lights out all season long posting the league best ERA with a 1.25. Dominating numbers. Not to forget Bieber is 2-0 against the Twins this season with a 1.29 ERA and 23 K’s. Also, the Indians got their shoes blown off them last night against the Royals, so I suspect a nice comeback game for them.
Pick #3: Celtics/Raptors Over 204 (-114) (1u)
I wanted to have a basketball game tonight and I did not want to touch the Nuggets/Clippers games. I did not like many of the odds they had for that game. So I went with the over for Celtics/Raptors because I have no idea who is going to win this game. Last week on Pool Boys I said that the Celtics are easily going to win this series, but now I am second guessing myself because the Celtics have had games where they don’t look themselves. So, the moneyline and spread is too scary to touch, so for tonight I am just cheering for a high scoring basketball game. I mean an over of 204 is a steal in my mind, both teams have to score 103 points. Can’t be that hard. I just got to hope the Celtics bring their “A” game tonight and then this would be a piece of cake.
