Welcome back to the blog and yesterday I made a doo doo mistake. I live bet the Lighting to win last night and obviously they lost. If either them of the Clippers/Nuggets over hit I would have been in the positives. But for now we will have to stay in the mud and hope for another positive night. It does suck because for the first time in a while, baseball is the only sport on. Truly feels like the dog days of the Summer.
Pick #1: Padres +105
I am shocked it has taken me this long to bet on the Padres. They are one of the best teams in the MLB, I guess my east coast bias made me not pick them. So, I just said fuck it and went with the Padres being the underdog today. It should be a good game between the them and the Dodgers, but I like the odds and the Padres have beaten the Dodger four times this season.
Pick #2: Red Sox/Marlins Over 9 (-103)
What can I say, two bad pitchers pitching tonight you have to go with the over. Besides last night the Red Sox have been letting in runs with ease and the Marlins are scoring well. Just gotta hope for a good offensive night from the Sox to get this over.
Parlay Pick: 1u to win 5
Mets -174
Indians/Cubs Over 8.5 (-105)
Diamondback/Angels Over 9 (-105)
After winning my first parlay last night, I have to continue the streak (of one). With the Mets, they have been great with deGrom in his last two starts, getting a win over the Phillies and Blue Jays. I am a little worried about how they cannot score with runners on base, but I expect deGrom to hold the Phillies to a low scoring night. The Indians and Cubs have some shaky starts on the mound tonight and last night the over hit. And in their last three games, the Cubs are averaging 7.3 runs per game while the Indians are averaging 5 runs per game. Both teams are hitting hot and I expect that to continue. Finally I went with the Diamondbacks/Angels over because just like the last game I talked about, both teams are hitting hot. This will be a big parlay to win that if I win this and lose the other two games (hopefully I don’t lose any) I think I might be positive units.
