SDSGS Vol. XVII

Yesterday’s Record: 2-1
Overall Record: 38-45-3 (-2.1u)

So I was so close to having a positive night, but I live bet the Lightning after not knowing they were playing and they lost in overtime. It sucked but other than that I had a fine night, but now it is time for week three of NFL football. I am hyped because this is a good week and I am looking forward to my picks. I am also doing something I have never done before. Let’s win some money and let’s have a good day.

Pick #1: 49ers -3.5 (-101)
I do not care about how many people are injured on the 49ers, the Giants are such a bad team and are not beating anyone. I have a lot of faith in Nick Mullens as a QB. His run back in 2018 when Jimmy G tore his ACL was pretty good. He had some interception problems throwing ten interceptions in eight games, but he is versing maybe the worst pass defense of all time today. This Giant team sucks and they too will be missing two key pieces of their offense with Squon and Shepard out.

Pick #2: Texans +4 (-105)
I have been trashing the Texans for weeks, but now they aren’t playing two of the best teams in the NFL. I think the Steelers are overrated as they still haven’t beaten a good team. They killed the Giants in week one and last week they came dangerously close to losing to Jeff Driskel and a shitty Broncos team. This will be a close game, but the Texans will cover this +4 spread and may even win.

Pick #3: Rams/Bills Over 47 (-107)
What a shootout this game is going to be. These teams love to score and give up points. The Rams are averaging 28.5 points per game and are giving up 18 points per game. The Bills are averaging 29 points per game and giving up 22.5 points per game. This is going to be a shootout where two of my favorite quarterbacks not named Daniel Jones are going to go off. Love the over.

Parlay Pick #1: 1u to win 2.6 (+261)
Titans -148
Bears +115
Last week the Vikings lost a game that I thought they should have won, but they are now dead to me. The Titans are going to kill Minnesota this week. We all saw what they did last week against a bad Jacksonville defense, now they play an even worse defense. Love the Titans to win this one. For the second pick I am going with the Bear to beat Atlanta. Atlanta is going to still be recovering from that crazy lose last Sunday against Dallas and Chicago is going to take advantage of that. I also love that Julio is not playing today, leaving Calvin Ridley as the only threat for Chicago to worry about. With Chicago’s good defense, this should be a cakewalk for the Bears.

Pick #5: Cowboys/Seahawks Over 56.5 (-110)
I mean this over could be 70 and I would still take it. Just like the Rams and Bills, these teams love to score and their defense might be worse than the other two. Russell Wilson is going to continue his journey for his first MVP and kick Dallas ass, but that doesn’t mean Dallas is not going to put up a fight. Dallas will be scoring, it’s just that they may lose by more than 10 points.

Parlay Pick #2: 1u to win 3.4 (+342)
Heat +130
Celtics/Heat Over 214.5 (-114)
So as I said in the preface, I am doing something I have never done before and if it isn’t already obvious, its having two parlays. I am going with this parlay once again as it is 2-0 when I made the bet. I am confident the Heat will finish the Celtics tonight and win the Eastern Conference Championship. We are ready for the NBA Finals to start and the Heat are going to finish the series tonight. Also, these teams continue to score on one another and that won’t change tonight as the over is 4-1 in this series.

Pick #7: Packers +150
I am still shocked the Packers are underdogs in this game. I know they might be missing Davante Adams, but I am confident in how bad Drew Brees is. The guy cannot throw the ball more than 15 yards at this point. The Saints need to put Jamies in if they want to win, bit for now the “Aaron Rodgers Fuck You” tour continues and the Packers will win with ease.
