Did you hear the news. The Boston Red Sox traded Mookie Betts because he wanted money and now without a doubt in my mind he will win World Series MVP. He seems like a good player.
Now for the first time in 32 years the Dodgers finally won a World Series, and I do not know how to feel. The Dodgers are no poverty franchise, but you have to feel happy that they got over that hump and won a World Series. I was starting to feel bad for Kershaw and now he has a ring. So it’s cool to see that, but fuck the Dodgers at the same time. Now we can go back to hating them and start calling this an asterisk title. 60 game season, who cares. If the Yankees played all 162, they would have won.
This also does not mean Kershaw is a good playoff pitcher. Kershaw did a fine job this postseason, but he will still be an unclutch pitcher in my mind forever. If he was good, Dave Roberts would have put him in, but then again I guess he did not want to get killed again for what he did in 2018.
I mean, Kev, what are we doing. Let Snell finish the job. You have to trust your guy in those situations, especially when he has less than 80 pitches. Believe in your best pitcher that he can get out off the mess he started. I have always said since 2015, you keep Matt Harvey in that game and the Mets win game 5. But hey, listen to the nerd I guess.
Congrats to the Dodgers, but the fun will all be gone soon. 2021 is all that matters and Steve Cohen will arrive.
