2020-21 NBA Season Predictions

We finally made, the 2020-21 NBA season is upon us and I am excited to watch some basketball tonight. You know football is fun and all, but we need something new to watch and basketball is just that. So here is what I think will happen in this crazy, shortened NBA season.

NBA Standings Prediction:

East:
1. Bucks
2. Nets
3. Heat
4. Celtics
5. Raptors
6. 76ers
7. Pacers
8. Wizards
9. Magic
10. Hornets
11. Hawks
12. Bulls
13. Pistons
14. Cavaliers
15. Knicks

Lets start off with the East first. The Bucks are going to threepeat the East and win the conference. Even with Giannis getting his money he is still going to be motivated because he has not proved anything to us. Yeah 2 MVPs are cool and all, but make an Eastern Conference Championship. The Nets are going to finish just short in the East due to the fact that Kyrie and KD will most likely need rest during the season and will lose games because of that.

Now for the bottom of the East, you could put any of the 7-14 teams in the playoffs in my opinion. All those teams stink and I have no clue on whose actually going to make the playoffs. And on the bottom is my precious Knicks. The Knicks are not a good basketball team, but more on that tomorrow for my pre game Knicks Thots.

West:
1. Lakers
2. Clippers
3. Nuggets
4. Mavericks
5. Jazz
6. Suns
7. Rockets
8. Warriors
9. Pelicans
10. Trail Blazers
11. Timberwolves
12. Grizzlies
13. Thunder
14. Spurs
15. Kings

Ok, now this was real hard. I was fixing things as I was making this list and I am still not confident with my list. Obviously 1 & 2 are locks. The Lakers and Clippers are the best teams in the NBA and there is no changing that. 3-5 are locks for the playoffs so I am fine with those spots. 6-12 was where it got real hard. Any of those teams can make the playoffs, its just how consistent they can be through this 72 game season. I think the Suns and Rockets have the best odds of making the playoffs out of those teams, but it’s going to be a fun fight to see who can make the playoffs because there are a lot of good teams in the Western Conference.

NBA Awards Prediction:

MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Not much of a shock I guess because Giannis is the best player in the NBA right now not named Lebron James. I don’t like the Luka pick just because of how young he is and I don’t know how much he is going to do this season. Giannis is the safe and easy answer here.

Rookie of the Year: James Wiseman
This was not a good NBA draft class, so I am not scared to say that James Wiseman will be the best rookie in this draft class. I think he is going to be a great NBA player and he’s going to start thing off by winning Rookie of the Year.

Coach of the Year: Erik Spoelstra
Spoelstra is the best coach in the NBA not named Gregg Popovich. The NBA should give him the award because he is the best.

NBA Finals Prediction:
Call me a pussy, but the Bucks and Lakers will make the Finals this year. I think Giannis will make that jump and finally make the NBA Finals this season (I hope). He’s motivated to make the move from really good to great. The only problem for him is the Lakers will be in the finals. Lebron, AD, and the Lakers are the best team in the NBA and they will two-peat as champions.
