The Mets and Francisco Lindor are 2 Years and $75 million Apart and I am Officially Scared

That’s it, folks, my butthole is officially clinched together as I am very scared for the future of the Mets and Lindor. I mean 2 years and $75 MILLION DOLLARS. What the fuck is going on. When I first saw the report of the 10 year $325 million contract, I instantly got excited and thought that was it. That’s a great contract and there is no way Lindor declines that contract. I was going to get that Black Lindo Jersey because that would be so fire to have, but au contraire, mon frère, Lindor wants even more. 12 years $385 million is a shit ton of money. A gap between the two sides by a large margin. I get why Lindor wants that money though, he is one of, if not the best, shortstops in the game, but that’s still a crap ton of money. Not even Mookie Betts is making that much money.

So where does this leave us. Well, there are many reports saying the Mets can still get a deal done before Lindor’s deadline on Thursday, but I do not see that happening. What I do see is stupid Mets fans booing Lindor at our opening day game next week at Citi Field because sports fans are dumb. Lindor is definitely leaving a sour taste in our mouths before the season started, but that does not mean we should boo him. We just hope things progress well over the season so when the time is right during the next offseason, we can give him the contract that both sides want and keep him in Queens for the rest of his career.

Also, shoutout Jon Heyman who is doing everything he can to make the Mets look good in this situation so he can keep his sources within.
