2021 NFL Record: 7-14
My NFL season has not been off to the best start, but I am confident that it will all change today. My picks look great, dare I say amazing. Now I say that every week, but this is different and I am prepared to have a great NFL Week 3 on this beautiful Sunday.
Patriots -3 V. Saints
Nobody is a bigger Jameis Winston guy in the world than me. He is an electric player and is one of the best players to watch, but I must go against him today. The Saints have yet to play in the Super Dome this season, though it’s probably for the best because it caught on fire the other day, and I see this as a huge advantage for Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. I see the New England defense coming out the gates hot today and holding Jameis to less than 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. Also, this might be Mac Jones’ breakout game. The rookie QB has not looked his best the first two weeks of the season, even though it is better than any other rookie QB, but I like Jones to throw 3 touchdowns today against a good, but tired Saints defense.
Chargers +7 and Chargers/Chiefs over 55
This will be the last chance for the Chargers. I am a big fan of Justin Herbert and he was a dark horse of mine to win MVP this season as well as to be the #1 AFC Wild Card team, but things have not looked good. The Chargers cannot score touchdowns in the redzone as they have had a 30% success rate this season in the redzone. I am hoping that will all change today as this will be a game that comes down to a field goal because the Chiefs have a crappy defense that feels like anyone can score on. This brings me to my next point, the Chiefs over is pretty much always on my board and I will never go against it as long as Patrick Mahomes is the starting QB of the team.
Steelers -2.5 V. Bengals
Now you may be asking, “SmallDog, why are you going with an injured Ben Roethlisberger” and you, my friend just answered your own question. I don’t know what it is, but Big Ben being injured just makes me more confident that he will perform well and lead the Steelers to this win against the Bengals. Now one thing that scares me is that TJ Watt is following his brother’s footsteps in getting paid big money and getting injures as soon as possible. Losing a player like that sucks, but I am confident that Ben will get in this game with his injured titty and show everyone he’s still got it.
Rams PK V. Buccaneers
Now, this is a very scary pick to have because how could you go against a very good Buccaneers team whose starting QB is the favorite to win MVP early on this season. Well its easy, the Buccs are getting their first look at a good defense this season and everyone knows as long as you have a good defensive lineman to go against Tom, you can win the game. I am also a big fan of the Rams as I had them as my NFC team to go to the Super Bowl this season. This win will show how legit the Rams are this season.
