Gameday baby. The Giants are, somewhat, back and I am happy. We got our boy DJ back under center and he’s ready for a comeback game. Now there is no need to talk about last week because in my mind that game did not happen. I was drunk/hungover, so last week’s game does not count. We all know the Giants would have won if it was not for dirty plays from the Cowboy’s defense.
Regardless, the Giants now move on to the Rams at home and I am scared. The Rams are good. Breaking news, I know. They scare me a lot because their offense has been one of the best in the NFL this year. The Rams have the 2nd best passing offense in the NFL, averaging 310.2 yards/game. Matt Stafford has been unsurprisingly awesome this season, and I see no difference coming in this week, especially with the extended rest the Rams got this week. I am happy that the Rams have no run game because that is the worst part about the Giants defense, as they give up 138.4 rushing yards/game.
Giants fans should be happy because Danny Dimes is back after a scary play last week which feels like he should have been out for a little bit longer the way he got up after the play. He was stumbling and bumbling after the hard-hit but Jones will be out for vengeance. I expect Jones to have +250 yards today and +75 rushing yards with no Saquon. He’s going to have a good passing game against the Rams who are ranked 10th in most passing yards giving up a game. I like the odds of that even more too with Jones’ favorite receiver, Sterling Shepard, back on the field today.
My official prediction for the game is Rams 31 Giants 24. As much as I love my team, I have to be realistic. The Giants are beat up offensively and defensively we suck. The Rams will tear us apart and it will be hard for Jones to keep up with LA.
