So yesterday was a pretty good day for me. I might have went negative on the day, but as you can tell my the new category in the records column, I won two future bets last night. In the beginning of the MLB season, I had the Houston Astros winning the AL Pennant and going to the World Series. I also made a futures bet at the beginning of the Postseason on the Astros winning the American League because I forgot I made the original bet. I was pretty mad at the time, but it paid off and after losing out on a couple other MLB futures, some technically still in play but will lose, I am plus money in future bets. A great way to start off weekend. Let’s go.
Virgins Tech -3.5 V. Syracuse
So, just like in Hockey, I know very little about college football. I’ve been getting into it the last couple of seasons because of gambling and I’ve been enjoying it. So far this season I am 10-12 which isn’t that bad in my opinion, especially for knowing very little about college football. With that said, I have no idea about any of these teams. This is just a feel game, and I feel Virginia Tech is going to win this one at home and take care of Syracuse.
LSU +7.5 @ Ole Miss.
I was very sad when I found out Coach O was getting fired. Coach O and LSU are the reason why I wanted to be a fan of college football, and to see him go because he “might have” had sex with a boosters wife/girlfriend. Whatever. The boys are going to be playing for Coach O as he heads into the sunset with a winning record on the season and $50+ million in his bank account.
Notre Dame -7.5 V. USC
For my last game of this college football slate, I have Notre Dame winning this blue blood battle. Notre Dame is just the better team straight up. I’ve seen most of their games this season and they might have been in a lot of close games, but USC has been blowout in all three of their losses. I see that trend continuing today as the Fighting Irish win on their home field blowing out USC.
Pacers +170 @ Miami
Now onto the NBA slate, I am going with the underdog in this game. I guess I’m personally not a big fan of the Heat this season. Besides Butler and Lowry, I don’t see them having a lot of talent you can rely on, and Lowry is barley in that conversation. I think the Pacers are going to make up for that game they should have won yesterday and get their first win of the season.
Trail Blazers -2.5 V. Suns
The Suns just played their asses off yesterday against a shocking 0-2 Lakers. Now they are going up to Portland one day later. I see Phoenix not being able to stick with Portland as Damian Lillard will go off against an old Chris Paul.
Avalanche/Lightning Over 6
Hockey! Yesterday did not go so well as my Golden Knights failed to beat the Oilers in a game they should have won. No problem, I am now going to move onto a game featuring two of the best teams in the NHL. Because I am too scared to pick a winner for this game, I am going to say that this will be a high scoring game. 7 goals, no problem.
Braves +142 V. Dodgers
Finally, I am sticking with going against the Dodgers until they win the NL Pennant. I have multiple futures on the Dodgers, but I will continue to bet against them to win some of the money back. Go Braves!
