Wrestlemania Night 2 Predictions

Let’s move onto day two of the predictions. If you have not read my Day 1 Wrestlemania blog, click here and see my predictions. Now onto the predictions (PS sorry for now cool cover picture for the blog. I’m writing this at work and don’t have the power of photoshop at my hands)

Women’s Tag Team Championship: Queen Zelina & Carmella (c) V. Sasha Banks & Naomi V. Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan V. Natalya & Shayna Baszler

So straight up I am not a fan of this match. All 4 of these teams don’t feel like real tag teams. All of the teams, besides the champions, feel like they were created less than a month ago just to give them a spot on the card, and that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve the spot. Ripley and Banks are some of my favorite wrestlers and Naomi and Morgan are very good competitors, but this match feels off. This match should have been a ladder match to add a little luster to it, but I am excited to see what they do. I think that Banks and Naomi should win this match. Naomi hasn’t won a title in a long time and deserves a win at Wrestlemania.

Bobby Lashley V. Omos

A very basic match that was made last minute because it seems like Bobby Lashley recovered from his injury quicker than most thought. I hope the former 2X WWE Champion doesn’t get squashed in this match, but I have a feeling WWE wants to continue to build Omos as a monster that doesn’t lose and who better to do that is Bobby Lashley. I think Omos wins this match, but I hope we get a Hogan/Andre sport where Lashley lifts the near 400 pounder off his feet. That will be a cool moment.

Raw Tag Team Championship: RK-Bro (c) V. The Street Profits V. The Alpha Academy

This is going to be a banger of a tag team match. All 3 of these teams have been looking great on Monday night and I expect a good match. The athleticism between Riddle, Montez Ford, and Chad Gabble make this a non-stop action type of fight. And let us not forget Randy Orton, who seems to be having the most fun of his career tagging with Riddle. There’s no doubt in my mind that RK-Bro retains with Randy Orton hitting a crazy ass RKO on either Gable or Ford

Pat McAfee V. Austin Theory

Yes you read that right. Pat McAfee has a match at Wrestlemania and from his prior matches in WWE, I expect him to have a good match. Austin Theory is the prodigy of Mr. McMahon and was hand chosen to face McAfee at Wrestlemania. Theory is still less than a year in his main roster run, but I’ve been enjoying what he’s been doing since he came up from NXT. I think Theory will dominate most of the match, but McAfee will get the biggest win of his career, including the NFL.

Anything Goes Match: Johnny Knoxville V. Sami Zayn

A lot of WWE fans (haters) might not agree with this statement, but I think this match will be awesome. The rivalry between Zayn and Knoxville has been fun to watch. It all started before the Royal Rumble where the two started feuding and resulted in Zayn taking Knoxville out of the Royal Rumble. Months later, Knoxville has been tormenting Zayn, putting his phone number on a plane and costing Zayn his Intercontinental Championship. Now we have a match at Wrestlemania and it’s no DQ. I can’t wait to see what Knoxville does here mixed with Zayn great wrestling talent. This should be a fun match with Zayn going over.

Edge V. A.J. Styles

If Becky v. Bianca isn’t the match of the event, then this will be. Two of the best wrestlers from the 2000s-2010s going at it for the first time ever. I loved everything Edge has done in this run since he turned heel. Edge is one of the greatest heels of all time, and he’s showing it during this feud with Styles. I wish Styles had done more since the feud started, but it’s felt like Edge has been leading this program. I think the right move is for A.J. Styles to win this match and get him in the main event scene one more time before he walks away for good. Edge will always be over, so Styles should win this match.

WWE Championship/Universal Championship Unification: Brock Lesnar (c) V. Roman Reigns (c)

Roman Reigns is the best thing in wrestling and it’s not even close. I don’t care what anyone says, Roman Reigns is on a level no one can touch. At first I hated this feud because there was no reason for the two titles to be unified but after months of buildup I cannot wait for this match. It’s going to be a short 10-15 minute main event, but I’m going to love all of it, except if Brock win. Roman should win and continue to build his legacy as one of the most dominant champions of all time. He’s held the Universal Championship for over 450 days. He should continue this run and beat Brock clean on the grandest stage of them all.

Now lets have a great fucking Wrestlemania!
