Hey buddy, fuck you. The New York Mets are a fun team and if you think otherwise well… you already know.
What a start it’s been tho. 6-2 to start the season. Everyone is doing their job, and I love this team. Francisco Lindor is proving all the haters wrong with his hot start to the season and all of the free agent acquisitions are doing what we thought they would plus more.
The part of the team that deserves the most credit is our starting rotation. Everyone thought the world was over when we lost deGrom to start the season, but what they didn’t know is when have a starting rotation of former All-Stars and future Cy Young winner Tylor Megill. Our rotation is killing it right now with them averaging a 1.32 ERA. That stat is the definition of sex. I want to fuck that stat, I don’t care who knows it. Our ERA is is 0.99 better that the Giants, who has the second best ERA for starters.
And I get it, our bullpen is a little concerning with all the runs it’s giving up. Our bullpen has given up 16 runs in 29 innings. Not the best, but lets just take a breather Mets fans and enjoy what we got. Our hitters are hitting and our starting rotation is fucking sick. Just imaging when we get deGrom back what we can do.
I am curious to see what David Peterson does, now that he’s going to get a couple starts with Tijuan Walker out. If Peterson can give us a couple games where gives up 3-4 runs we should be fine. I have full faith that our lineup will be able ti win games with Peterson giving up 4 runs a game.
Enjoy it Mets fans, there’s no reason to be pessimistic when we are winning.
