OMG!!!! What did we just witness? Daniel Jones and the New York Football Giants have made their mark and showed everyone they belong in the playoffs. This is no fluke. We are a real team ready for the big time. The haters must be sick right now. What else can they say about our sweet king Daniel Jones?
24/35, 301 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 78 rushing yards. Just a beautiful game by our starting QB. You could not have asked for a better game from Jones, who was still experiencing doubt and hate. Then our other sweet king, Saquon, was phenomenal. He didn’t get the ball much, but when he did, he showed out.
A big part of that win was the lockdown of one of the best receivers in the game, Justin Jefferson. Adoree’ Jackson had a challenging task ahead of him, playing in his first game since week 11, and he showed. It started a little slow, but after that first quarter, you saw little of Justin Jefferson. Credit goes to Wink for making adjustments and Jackson for balling out.
Jackson did have an excellent game locking up JJ, but the defense still showed significant holes. I knew this would be a back-and-forth game from the opening drives. The Vikings had multiple plays where it felt like their players were wide-open. Regardless of what people say about Kirk Cousins, he still had a solid game. Cousins ended with 273 passing yards and was easily finding his tight end TJ Hockerson. Hockerson ended up with 129 yards on ten receptions. The Giants cannot cover the tight end position, and this scares me as next week, we play another top-10 tight end in Dallas Godert, but that doesn’t matter. Right now, we are positive vibes.
A person who deserves all the credit in the world is Kenny Golladay. We all know how bad he’s been with all the money he was given, but not once have we heard him complain. After having players like Odell (who I still love and want on the Giants) and Kararius Toney, I am used to these receivers complaining and acting like divas. Not once have we heard Golladay complain, and if he keeps doing stuff like this…
I want Golladay to be able to succeed here. Try and give him some play calls next week. That talent is somewhere deep in him, and let us not forget what he did last week against Darius Slay and the Eagles.
Now lets all be like Isaiah Hodgins and the rest of the New York Giants and celebrate this victory.
