Yesterday’s Record: 2-2 (-0.20u)
2023 Record: 13-14 (+.49u)
So yesterday was a stinker. I predicted the winner of both games correctly, but I still lost money and was pissed off at the Chargers because I had a future on them winning the Super Bowl. That went right down the drain. Next year I HAVE to remember to refrain from betting on the Chargers to win it all. Now, if they hire Sean Payton, it’s a whole other story. With all that said, that was yesterday, and I am here to give winners today.
Pick #1: Bills -13.5
This is not going to be an enjoyable game to watch. No Tua means no enjoyment. It really sucked to see the Dolphins get in because we all had the feeling that Tua would not play this game. Now the Dolphins have to rely on a banged-up Skylar Thompson, and we all know how this will play out. The Bills will steamroll over the Dolphins and be ready for the Bengals in the next round of the playoffs.
Pick #2: Giants +134
Before we move any further, I am a Giants fan, so this is a biased pick. I picked the Giants every week because I bet with my heart and not my brain. I also hate that most of the money is on the Giants. It gives me bad vibes, but here is why they will win this game. This season, the Giants defense was just a little better than the Vikings. Minnesota was giving up 30 more total yards/game this season and was top 5 in points allowed/game. If the Giants, whose whole team is healthy this week, can contain the Vikings offense, they should be able to get revenge on the Vikings today.
Pick #3: Ravens/Bengals Under 40.5
This game is going to be a real snooze fest of a game. No, Lamar Jackson for the Ravens already puts a downer on this one, but I love the under in this game because the Bengals have not played the Ravens well this season. In their two prior match-ups, Joe Burrow averaged 216 passing yards, while their starting runningback, Joe Mixon, averaged 52.5 yards. The Ravens will play the Bengals tough, no matter who is in at QB. Also, the Ravens are scoring less than 13 points a game without their star QB. I hate betting unders, but this one feels like a sure thing.
Pick #4: Parlay
Josh Allen o260.5 Passing Yards
Isaiah Hodgins ATTS
Saquon Barkley o22.5 Receiving Yards
Joe Mixon ATTS
Let’s start with Josh Allen. This season Allen had over 300 passing yards against the Dolphins in both their games played, and in his career, he is averaging 268.4 yards per game against Miami. Allen knows how to sling the rock against the Dolphins, and today will be no different. Next, we have Isaiah Hodgins, who has been a touchdown machine lately. In his last five games, Hodgins has four touchdowns. Daniel Jones has found a reliable target in Hodgins and has been rewarding him. In their week 16 matchup against the Vikings, Saquon had an excellent game all around, rushing for over 80 rushing yards, but the stat I liked the most was that Saquon had 49 receiving yards. Daniel Jones loves to find Saquon out in the flats when he feels pressure, and we all know how dangerous Saquon can be in open field. Finally, we have Joe Mixon scoring a touchdown because I wanted to add a bet for the final game.
Pick #5: Knicks -7.5
I just wanted a 5th pick because I like odd picks when it comes to gambling. Also, the Knicks have been red hot, so a game against the pistons should be no trouble.
