2023 NFL Record: 9-17 (-2.19u)
I’m back for another edition of SDSGS, and I was doing well before Thursday night. I was plus money but lost all my bets, going 0-4 on the night. But I’m here to get back on the right track because my picks on Sunday won me more money than I lost. My bigger unit plays almost went undefeated. But that’s enough about last week, let’s talk about today’s slate of games. Let’s go!
Chiefs -3.5 @ Jacksonville (1u)
The Chiefs opened up the season getting upset by the Lions, and after the extended break they’ve had, they have a lot on their mind. Kansas City would have won the game if Kadarius Toney wasn’t such a bum. The Chiefs are still an outstanding team and are a better team than last week, as Travis Kelece and Chris Jones are expected to play in this game. Huge improvements on both sides of the field as they will remind everyone why they are on the top of the mountain. I have Kansas City winning this game by a touchdown, and…
Chiefs/Jaguars o51 (1u)
And off the last pick, these are two of the best offenses in the league, and that will be on full display as this over will be blown by. I’m expecting a shootout, as Kansas City will win in the last 5 minutes of the game.
Road Doggs Parlay +706 (1u, boosted)
Ravens ml @Cincinnati
Packers ml @ Atlanta
I can’t believe the Bengals are favorites once again after the week they just had. Joe Burrow missing a lot of the preseason with his knee injury will cost the Bengals, and until I’m proven otherwise, I’m going to have to bet against him. For the other game, I love the Packers being underdogs. They once again owned the Bears last Sunday and showed everyone they’re still here fighting, with or without Aaron Rodgers. The Falcons win last week was not impressive, as they were neck and neck with the Panthers for most of the game. Green Bay will come out of Atlanta with the win.
Seahawks/Lions o47.5 (2.5u)
How could you not bet the over in this game? The last two times these teams have met, they’ve scored at least 80 points combined. What I like most about this game is how non-existent the Seahawks defense was last week. They let a Cooper Kupp-less/injured Matthew Stafford Rams demolish them. Imagine what happens when they have to play a real offense. This will be a fun shootout as two good offenses meet and have one of the week’s best games.
Giants -4 @ Arizona (1u)
The Giants NEED to win this game. They got utterly embarrassed last week, and the only way to prove it was a fluke is by beating the breaks off the Cardinals. The Cardinals are the worst team in the NFL, and the Giants need to prove that this week.
2-Game Parlay +264 (1u)
Jets/Cowboys u38.5
Commanders/Broncos u38.5
These two games will be stinkers, so why not parlay the under together? We all know about the Jets, so there is no reason to talk about them, but hot take alert: the Cowboys didn’t show much to me last week besides they have a great defense. Dak did nothing to prove that he’s not a turnover machine, so it will be interesting to see what he does against one of the best defenses in the NFL. For the other game, it is just two good defenses going against two bad offenses. It should be an easy under.
I won’t be able to complete the rest of the blog as I’m in a car, so here are the rest of the picks
