SmallDog’s Super Gambling Station 10/29/23

I straight-up suck at gambling in the NFL. This might be my last blog of the season if I don’t have a good week. Do not tail me. Let’s win some money.

NFL Record: 32-64-1 (-28.91u)
Last Sundays Record: 3-5 (-3.37u)
Big Money Lock of the Week: 1-4 (-7.73u)
Prop of the Week: 2-1 (+2.7u)

Dolphins o27.5 Points V. Patriots (-105)
What we have learned this season thus far is the Dolphins love to beat up on the bad teams but get killed against the good ones. The Patriots win against the Bills last week was a fluke, and the Dolphins will put them right back into place as one of the bad teams in the NFL. I decided to bet on the Dolphins team total because the odds were better for one of the best and most exciting offenses in the NFL. In these two teams’ last matchup in week 2, the Dolphins only scored 24 points. Today, at home, the Dolphins will run that score up because they are home dawgs, scoring more than 31 points in their three home games this season.

Giants +140 V. Jets
This is my biased pick of the week. If the under weren’t so low, I would’ve bet the under, but I decided to ride with my boys. The Giants won as underdogs last week, and I don’t see why today shouldn’t be any different. The Jets and Commanders are pretty similar teams. The Giants front 7 need to get to Wilson and get to him early. If the Giants can cause the same havoc they did last week, it will give Tyrod and the offense a chance to win.

Prop of the Week
Adam Thielen Anytime TD Scorer (+185)
I’m riding with a pick that’s gotten me a dub in the past. Thielen is Bryce Young’s favorite target, and today will be no different. Thielen will score his 5th touchdown of the season. Also, I accidentally betted on Chuba Hubbard to score a TD at +180, so I’ll ride with that as well, but Thielen is my prop of the week.

Vikings/Packers o41.5 (-112)
I hate this over. These are two middle-of-the-pack teams, but I feel like it will be a slugfest. These division rivals will fight it out, and we will have an entertaining game on our hands. I hate the over, but I have a good feeling it will hit.

Big Money Lock of the Week
Colts +2 V. Saints (-110)
With what we witnessed last Thursday, I cannot believe the Saints are road favorites. Derek Carr looked awful. He couldn’t throw the ball more than 15 yards. It felt like most of his passes went to Alvin Kamara. The Colts, on the other hand, had one of their best offensive games of the season against a top-10 defense. The Colts would have won, but the refs handed the Browns the game with the penalties they got at the end of the game. Gardner Minshew and the Colts will cover this game with ease and probably outright win the game.

Seahawks -4 V. Browns (-110)
This is a don’t think, just do bet. The last time I did this, it was when I bet the 49ers to cover against the Browns, and the Browns won. That didn’t work, but today will be different. The Browns have to travel to Seattle and go against this ruckus crowd. PJ Walker will stand no chance as the Seahawks dominate the Browns and win in a blowout.

Bengals +4 @ San Francisco (-108)
I think the Bengals are finally over the hump, and this will be the game to show it. They will compete against this 49ers team as Joe Burrow has one of his best offensive games. The bye week was huge for Burrow and the Bengals, as they can come into the game healthy and rested. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Bengals win, but I’m playing it safe by betting the spread.

That’s all for today. Hopefully, today is the day it all turns around!
