The WWE is Really Really Dumb

Im pissed. I should be snuggled up in my bed right now after an alright SmackDown. I have to be up at five in the morning, but now I have to stay up and write an angry blog about WWE. This is a serious blog, too. No one is a bigger WWE homer than your boy, but WWE is making a colossal mistake here by having Cody Rhodes let Rock face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. The WWE has built Cody Rhodes up for almost three years now, and he’s about to finish his story. He made an attempt last year and came up short. Now he’s following the same storyline, and what does he do? He gives the opportunity to the Rock.

The idea of Roman and Rock facing off for the title is a terrible idea. Roman/Rock doesn’t need a championship on the line. We all know Dwayne is not winning the belt in that match. The title isn’t the important part of the storyline. The important part of the storyline is who is at “the head of the table.” What makes it worse is that I am no longer interested in seeing the Rock fight. He was gassed the last time we saw him do a move. One move made him gassed! Now we have to see him lose to Roman for a title no one expects him to win? Dumbass booking.

I already see the theories that Cody will face Roman at Elimination Chamber. That makes zero sense storyline-wise, also. Cody Rhodes’ story has to finish in the main event of Wrestlemania. So if the path is for Cody to win at E.C., then it worsens the story and makes Roman’s losing the title less prestigious. The longest title reign in the modern era should happen on the Grandest Stage, not in bum-fuck western Australia.

I’m sure none of that made much sense, but I’m pissed and rambling right now. I had to get that anger out so I could try to sleep tonight. I have little hope for this to be resolved, and I know WWE will not fix this. I better accept that the Rock took another main event spot away from a guy who deserves to be there. What also sucks is, that was a terrible way to end the show. I don’t need a cliffhanger to end wrestling shows.
